Alessa Gillesppie

Alessa Gillespie is one of many aliases of Evelien Meire, multi-genre laptop producer also known online under the moniker EveyWeveyDevey.

Named after the character from the 1999 Horror classic ‘Silent Hill’ Alessa Gillespie was thought up as a moniker for Evelien to explore the world of dark and brooding Triphop inspired by the likes of Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky. And while this remains an important aspect of Alessa’s range to this day the release of her debut EP ‘Eclectic Party’ saw her live up to that album’s name with a dizzying range of genres and moods ranging from quirky off the wall Triphop to blazing Drum ‘n’ Bass to dreamy self-labeled Dreamhop.

And this is only a glimpse of what Alessa’s future holds in store…
