The Green Knight

‘That is enough this New Year, it needs no more,’ quoth the giant in the green to courteous Gawain: ‘…Take now your grim steel to thee, and see how you fell oaks.’
This is my interpretation of the Green Knight as he announces to Arthur’s court that sir Gawain, who is responsible for his beheading, must come to his Chapel of Green to meet the same fate in a years time.
This drawing would later be used as a collaborative tour shirt design for Agriculture and Ragana.
‘He who giveth thee this blow, be it for good or ill, a twelvemonth hence I'll take another at thy will, the weapon be thy choice, I'll crave no other still alive!’
