About JC Autobody

JC Autobody is a project formed in 2009 drawing influence from noise rock, punk rock and proto-metal. The lyrics are typically lo-brow and describe characters and scenes from a fantasy Rust Belt mythos.

The first EP, TRASH, was released in 2009 and featured a cover of a rare 1958 blues song called "7-Up and Whiskey.” The Lifetaker EP was released in 2010 and established JC Autobody's standing in the synch world by earning a number of placements that would fund a number of subsequent releases.

2014 and 2015 saw a series of new releases including Indiana, which evolved the style and sound further into noise, and the fourth installment and first official full-length, Young Tobacco, which took the project in a more polished proto-metal direction. Witches was released on Halloween in 2015 and thematically centered around the defunct Central Indiana Hospital for the Insane.

Autobody's sixth release, the 2018 full-length Turbo, was  released on Halloween in partnership with Seeing Red Records on limited edition vinyl, and stylistically ventured into shock rock, glam rock and classic doom.
