MOTHS

MOTHS is a Progressive Metal band from San Juan, Puerto Rico, known for defying genre boundaries. Blending elements of Stoner, Doom, Jazz, Math Rock, and even touches of Death and Black Metal, their sound is immersive, dynamic, and constantly evolving. Since their debut in 2018, they’ve built a name with releases like MOTHS, a split with The Stone Eye, and their acclaimed 2022 album Space Force.

Their upcoming album Septem (out August 1, 2025) is their most ambitious yet—an intense exploration of the Seven Deadly Sins through heavy, intricate, and emotionally-charged compositions. Mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, Septem pushes the band further into darker, heavier territory while keeping their progressive roots intact.

With praise from Guitar World, Loudwire, Metal Injection, and MetalSucks, and shows alongside The Ocean, Circus Maximus, and The Well, MOTHS delivers a powerful, genre-bending experience both in the studio and on stage.
