Fenmoss - House on a High Green Hill
Fenmoss
Restful beams, creaking familiar boards, In the ever-summer standing, Through the depths of winters remain. 'neath gambrel, the old door opens. Naught now but bed to be attained... "Your trials are all over now. You have survived. You are home. You don't have to go back." "There is comfort in darkness."

Fenmoss - A Wish (to See Above the Storm)
Fenmoss
Lanterns and fireflies, a courtyard dreaming, Secrets whispered in twilight gardens waft unto nothing in a limpid fireplace breeze. Nearby kettle sings, rejoicing in steeped bliss Saved spices and care-crafted preserves adorn the loaves of promise for a better tomorrow... Reaching ever upward, ancient arbor. You saw the youth of the world and now lie so languid. Branches stretch beyond death into the sky New leaves never fail to return with spring. No sense to puzzle over nature's miracle, But only to yearn for the day you again to bear fruit... What do you know of the endless sky? Do there lie lights yet unseen in the empyrean calm? Have your boughs brushed at the feet of the stars? Does it dawn above the storm? "There is comfort in darkness."

Fenmoss - Asleep 'neath the Leaves (As Darkens the Eve...)
Fenmoss
Lanterns of the Soul, held aloft in the wind and cold You were lost. Gone beyond the green door, never to return. Yet, there you were... Before me... There you were... Blazing figure A burning shadow Roiling forth from the confines of the dark... In sickening light, hideous truth revealed... "There is comfort in darkness."

Dusk Merchant - Sanguine Sunset
Fenmoss
To me the sweetest mulsum is bitter as the grave No gold of Ghirimar can slake that which I crave Nor Pernotian red, nor ale or spirit strong, Can warm my icy heart to sing its wicked song. A quart of crimson claret in hours before the dawn, Shall wake my timeless body to task to carry on. So if we are acquainted, depart before the dusk. Return ye to the living for I am but a husk. A sanguine setting sun is when I turn to leave, As surely dawns the day, so once more darkens eve. “There is comfort in darkness…”

In the Autumnal season of 1113, four bards convened to produce a collective album in celebration of the fall. Each of these tracks aims to tell a story which captures the essence of what the year's waning means to the folk of this world and yours. If you dare listen, allow yourself to reflect and be transported. Autumn is a liminal time when one year begins to lose its hold and fond summer memories fade, yet with the looming promise of another year. Let us rejoice in the falling leaves and shortening days. Let us always remember, "there is comfort in darkness..."

Eternal hails to Gallowglass and Isolde's Cauldron for joining me on this split
