Ballad of the Night-Drinker
Blind Sorceress
One fateful evening The Night-Drinker awoke To find blood upon his lips Oh, the victim! Oh, the victim! But before the Night-Drinker Had atoned for their sin They had sinned again! Oh no! But it was true! So true! He devoured every soul He devoured them all whole He poisoned all our minds With his hatred for mankind

Welcome to the land of Oscrutia, where animal factions vie for power and dwindling resources among the ruins of a civilization once great.

Hail Oscrutia, land of the doomed! So says Sage Arazēmo of the Burrowing Cabal.

CHAPTERS I - XI

I. The winds of Oscrutia are bitter and cut through the thickest of cloaks. Best find shelter before the night claims us.

II. The Knights of the Feather. A secret order of sacred knights bent on upholding justice for all.

III. The Crystal Cat parades its prancing paws across the cosmos, clawing at the celestial miasma that plagues the Oscrutian firmament.

IV. A damned amalgam of bones wields a wicked sword made from its own body.

V. The Tower of the Maddening Eye looms over the heart of Oscrutia, damning any who wander too close with eternal insanity. Once so ensconced in the robes of madness, the victim becomes an acolyte, spreading the tower's influence beyond its vicinity.

VI. The wind wheezes through the winding streets of the abandoned capital city of Oscrutia, giving voice to ghosts long since parted from their bones.

VII. A broken halberd. A desperate struggle for life. Predator and prey.

VIII. The Burrowing Cabal facilitates an unlikely escape. But into what dire scenario have we been delivered?

IX. The Night-Drinker is a character from Oscrutian antiquity who slaked his thirst with the blood of his victims. He struck only at night. Nowadays his name is invoked mostly to scare misbehaving children. Mostly.

X. A harsh question for a harsh world.

XI. Occult forces align to call down the moon, and none can say whether our tattered reality will survive.
