Hunchback, Vicar, and Wizard
Buzzard (Doom Folk Metal)
The hunchback hung himself in the chapel.
The vicar of the village said, “How tragic.”
The hunchback’s brother saddled up a dragon
To investigate with a book of black magic.
Justice came,
So many hang.
The wizard cast a spell at the crooked tombstone.
A spirit cried, “Brother, I was broken.
Shackled and chained in the vicar’s chamber
To do deeds that must remain unspoken.”
Justice came,
So many hang.
The next full moon the vicar he went prowling
In the orphanage for his next victim.
A boy newly found from the forest
Howled as the door locked behind them.
Justice came,
So many hang.
As the holy man undid his garments
Moonlight transformed the child.
A scarlet wolf with the face of a demon
Tore the vicar limb from limb and smiled.
Justice came,
So many hang.
A bloody collar dangles from the bell tower.
Now the wizard flies across the kingdom.
Hunting men of God to devour
So the children play in happy freedom.
Justice came,
So many hang.
