Take down the tyrants and vicars

I’m pleased to share a remix/edit of “Take the Tyrant Down.” This shortened version is stripped down to its essential lyric and elaborated upon with touches of lap steel, mellotron, and harpsichord. The original version with the metalized second half appears on Everything Is Not Going To Be Alright.

As a B-side comes “Hunchback, Vicar, and Wizard.” The lyric started gestating after I was digging “Die Vicar Die” by Apostle of Solitude. Originally recorded in a heavy, White Stripes-like band arrangement for Mean Bone but scrapped, "Hunchback, Vicar, and Wizard" finally finds a fitting acoustic arrangement as a Medieval revenge yarn cut from the same cloth as "Ghost of Orphan James."
