Dungeon Shamble requirements:
- 7 (virtual) instruments (two percussions, several instances of a woodwind patch with more or less distortion, analog subtractive synth, bowed strings, pizzicato strings, synth bells)
- 13 songs in 3 movements
- total album length: 20-26 minutes
- style: the first two movements are the Fifer's interpretation of umbral synth. The third starts umbral, but then evolves into its own thing
- theme: a ghost witnesses the aftermath of the Dance Macabre
- special: utilize volume & velocity to create a dynamic range of loud and quiet throughout the album (the minimal DIY production was engineered with this challenge in mind)
- failed quest: put distortion on everything. I only managed the woodwinds and one of the percussions
