Endless Clouds Befall the Night
Corvus Corone
Behold, what misfortune befalls my sight?
Endless clouds upon the night
I fear the cold, for it brings such misery
I mourn the light, lest it never return to me
Hark, what reverence I sing to the sun
Endless cacophony heard by none
I fear the dark, so to you I do beseech
I mourn my life, lest it ever be out of reach
Will you watch blackened skies
Alone with me?
Do you hear crestfallen voices
In the night?
Will you rest your weary eyes
In this cold dusk?
Do your fear you will never
Wake again?
Will you watch darkened tides
Where none can see?
Do you hear endless waves
On the shore?
Will you rest in the sands
Of boundless time?
Do you fear you will forever
Be alone?
Behold, what terrors plague my sleep
Endless dark, devoid of peace
I fear the night and the visions it brings
I mourn my dreams, and the light they sing
Hark, what cries I send to the void
Endless hymns made annul
I fear your voice, for it brings me hope
I mourn my sight, and the sadness it beholds
