Blood Ran In Torrents, Drenched was All The Earth

Brave Dog of Troy, Priam’s eldest son Bold Hector pierced by Achaean spear Let feral wolves and vultures feed Slit-open heels, gore in the sand Beloved wife weeps atop Troy’s walls Carrion birds gather in darkened skies Fastened to vengeful Achilles’ chariot Dragged through bloodied dirt and dust Final insult Rot now, honored Hero of Troy Corpse dragged through mud

Trojan arrogance The trap is sprung The gates are opened Swords spill their guts Smashed-open skulls Shattered, broken limbs Disembowel and crush Dishonor and conquer Blood ran in torrents, Drenched was all the earth Noble men slaughtered Women led in chains Temples desecrated Vengeance has been wrought Seize vengeance Seize slaughter Seize their wealth Seize glory

Delivering desecration A god becomes unhallowed victim Holy priests beheaded Marble pillars toppled down Offerings to Apollo Carried off as plunder of war Luminous relics of the sun god Fade to dust as the sun sets Holy priests beheaded Marble pillars toppled down Luminous relics of the sun god Fade to dust as the sun sets
