Once, the lands now called the Shadowed Realms were alive with the arts, where bards, skalds and minstrels roamed freely, their songs echoing through every village and vale. But a great darkness fell, transforming those realms forever: lords, consumed by greed, seized power and laid a heavy toll upon all who gave melodies to the world. Where once the bards, free of spirit, wandered the lands with hearts alight and songs unbound, they now moved like shadows of their former selves. Yet one day, a young bard heard rumors of a city beyond the distant mountains. A place where neither king nor lord ruled over the song, but where all who carried the gift of music were as one and every note was given freely, shared like starlight in the night.
β
With hearts heavy, yet kindled by the faint spark of hope, the bards gathered their instruments and set forth upon the long and perilous road. Upon their backs, they bore not only their harps and lutes, but the weight of their people's dreams. The road was arduous, the heat unrelenting, but the melodies within them led the way. And as they drew nearer to the promised place, their steps grew lighter and their songs shone brighter.
β
At last, they arrived β not before grand palaces or banners of kings, but an open square surrounded by ancient trees. Mighty bonfires blazed, casting their light upon all who gathered. Every singer was kin, and naught but the song mattered. And so it was, beneath the endless skies of Aventuria, their voices, once stifled by the shadow of tyranny, soared again, unchained and free, wild as the winds.
