How do you keep your sanity in a world that feels insane?
Things have gotten pretty rough out there, and it seems like we're always grappling with a barrage of bad news, existential dread, and feelings of hopelessness. In light of these constant external pressures, I wanted to make something that contrasted those feelings, an antidote for the doomscroll.
Confluence is a series of five immersive, longform ambient pieces, music to help recharge and re-center the listener. This is the kind of ambient that invites you to put on headphones, close your eyes, and shut off your fight-or-flight reflexes for a while. I've also included five "radio edits" of each song for those who want to enjoy in smaller increments.
I’ve never been very good at formal meditation, but writing music is definitely a meditative exercise for me. Creating these songs made me feel a little better, and I hope that this music helps bring you a few moments of peace and gives you the energy you need to keep going.
