In 2020, I spent hours outside at night — there was so little to do other than be outside. I became fascinated with using the scant and shifting light of night to illuminate my photographic compositions. This image is part of a large body of work exploring night. I used my Nikon DSLR, and often made work on our farm or while our family drove around in the evenings.
This particular image became the cover image for Hollow Howl’s self-titled 6-song EP, released in 2023.
