7 Days in the Fast Lane is a remix album by Scottish artist Jude Kerr, reworking material originally composed and performed by Boston-based electronic musician Petridisch (Thor Maillet). It is the second part of a reciprocal creative exchange between the two artists, completing a joint project that spans roughly a year and two separate labels.

The collaboration began on the Ampwall Discord server, where Petridisch had expressed interest in contributing to the various-artists remix project surrounding Kerr's dark ambient project Caer Sgàil. Though no space remained on that collection, a new direction opened up: Petridisch would rework Caer Sgàil's debut EP It's The People We Choose in full, resulting in Chosen Persons (Fish Prints, 2025). With that record completing the first half of the exchange, Kerr received stems from Petridisch's own back catalogue and began work on a response in kind.

Drawing from Blue Event (Infinite Sync Recordings, 2019) and Apéritifs (2025), Kerr built the album across roughly October 2025 to early 2026. The seven tracks expand dramatically on their source material, with originals rarely exceeding three minutes stretched into pieces that bear little surface resemblance to where they started, across a total runtime of approximately 41 minutes.

Jude has said that he sees the album following a narrative of a man lost across a week-long spiral of substance use, passing through euphoria, deterioration and crisis before arriving somewhere between life and death. This runs through the track subtitles throughout: Alprazolam, Panic Attack, Breach of Trust, Magnificent Desolation, Afterlife Lobby Room.
