Signosis was formed in January 2024 by vocalist/bassist Alan Brucke (AOECIST, Pull The Strings.) Joined by Thomas Greene and Chris Ragan on guitar, as well as Gavin MacRae on drums, Signosis played a progressive take on dissonant death metal, inspired equally by classics in the genre such as Ulcerate and Gorguts, as well as newer acts like Defacement and Nightmarer. The band was working on a full-length debut, but the drum recordings were never delivered by the engineer. Unable to finish the album, and faced with the fact that Gavin had moved to Connecticut, the band went on an unofficial hiatus in June of 2025.
