Father Tyrant
The Grand Myth
Ryan looked higher and he saw the behemoth’s head 20 feet in the air. The rectangular jaws open and closed, tasting the air and the knife blade teeth dripped red with blood. The nostrils on the end of its snout flared open with a rumbling snort. The father Tyrannosaurus Rex growled and took a step forward (Verse 1) Walk to the ends of the earth Fear what comes next Walk without fear of the end of all our days bound by the thresholds of a new era cast from a different place into a new world (Chorus) Aberrant forms shake the foundations of our world Beasts from our past now feed on our future Father guide us back to a world we truly knew The world blurred around Ryan as he charged mindlessly through an endless expanse of bamboo. Leon screamed behind him, and the Father T. rex crashed through the jungle. (Verse 2) How did we end up here How will we get home Vultures hunt us through the night Feeding, watching, as we go Chorus Aberrant forms shake the foundations of our world Beasts from our past now feed on our future Father guide us back to a world we truly knew The T. rex crunched a mouthful of reeds where they had been. Ryan refused to look back, but he could still sense the dinosaur’s presence. The forest rocked with each ballistic step. The beast roared and copper- scented spit sprayed across the back of his neck. The canopy rolled in turbulent waves as animals scurried away from the T. rex’s swinging head and snapping jaws. Hundreds of animals were squawking and screaming, tearing apart the tree tops as they fled. It was deafening. Ryan was overwhelmed by the chaos, thoughtless in his instinctual flight. There was no hiding, nor fighting; running was their only option. (Chorus) Aberrant forms shake the foundations of our world Beasts from our past now feed on our future Father guide us back to a world we truly knew Father guide us back to a world we truly knew Find your way back from this hell

Agony
The Grand Myth
I saw them die Through their vacuous Vacant eyes Viciously killed By those demons we Realized Falling, drifting Deep into the eyes Of these monsters That haunt my dreams Who am I to deny The monster they've Made me into Agony is killing me Ripping me to pieces As I breathe Stuck between these Morphine dreams When will I be free From this Agony This free fall is Killing me Ripping my Sanity apart As I breathe Who am I to deny The monster they've Made me into Agony is killing me Ripping me to pieces As I breathe Stuck between these Morphine dreams When will I be free From this Agony Who am I to deny The monster they've Made me into Agony is killing me Ripping me to pieces As I breathe Stuck between these Morphine dreams When will I be free From this Agony Agony is killing me Ripping me to pieces As I breathe Stuck between these Morphine dreams When will I be free From this Agony Release me From this Horrid dream Save me from this Agony

Fate
The Grand Myth
The Cyclops roared and chased after them, but Ryan took his rifle And opened fire on the predator's legs. The Cyclops turned around and Screamed at Ryan again. Ryan could see his life flashing through his mind as he stared into The Cyclops' glowering eye. Sergei screamed again beneath them. "Come on," Ryan said, "Come on!" Ryan fired a few more rounds at the Cyclops, tearing through the Feathers around its neck. The Cyclops roared, shaking the catwalk, and it Strode towards him.

Symbiotic Death
The Grand Myth
Fear and desperation Guide me through the night Now I walk alone To this My last fight Now all I know is The Cyclops must This is not the war you thought you knew Symbiotic death comes for you Atrocities wrought by your hands In the name of The war you thought you knew Those bastards hunt me Kill all my family They ripped me from a time I truly knew Now all I know is Now all I know is Now all I know is The human must die This is not the war you thought you knew Symbiotic death comes for you Atrocities wrought by your hands In the name of The war you thought you knew A warm calm flowed through Ryan's body. He felt connected to the hideous beast he was entangled with That connection was solidified when the heavy sickle-claw on the Cyclops's foot slid through Ryan's gut and hooked into the front of his Pelvic bone. He felt his body bleed into the Cyclops, and he felt they were a single Animal, formed as one. They would die together. He would make sure of That. This is not the war you thought you knew Symbiotic death comes for you Atrocities wrought by your hands In the name of The war you thought you knew This is not the war you thought you knew Symbiotic death comes for you Atrocities wrought by your hands In the name of

The Devils of Vulture Valley is the official collaboration between The Grand Myth and the Dinosaur Horror series "Primitive War". I have been a fan of dinosaurs (like so many others) as long as I can remember. I read Primitive War back in 2020 and found the story incredibly engrossing and the setting so wonderfully unique. I had been following the author, Ethan Pettus, since at least 2022 once I found the Primitive War fan group over on Facebook. This past February I shot a message wondering if he'd want to collaborate. If I'm being honest, I expected nothing besides a "hey thats cool man, no thanks". I'm just some dude making heavy metal on the internet, but Ethan gave me his full support and I don't think I fully grasped what that meant when we first started working together.

Ethan gave me a ton of feedback on every song, the album art options, merch, and so much. He had the idea of featuring Wayne June on every song as a testament to his life and his contribution to the series. He introduced me to people I've been a fan of for a few years now in the online paleo-media space, and it has been overwhelming seeing all the support the Primitive War community has given me for these songs. I don't take for granted how special this small moment is.

Thank you's are in order:

Thanks to Ethan for fully giving me his support, it is unfathomable how life changing this experience has been and I wouldn't have it without his support and his connections.

Thanks to Kevin for listening to every single iteration of each song on this EP and then hopping on to do the voice over for the intro with me. I love you dude.

Thanks to DinoFax, DinoGuy, Artur Bohrer, Emily Stepp, PaleoVoid, Clynche, Johnnie Wallace and anyone else I've missed. All of you supported the project in one way or another, and the fact that you all just hopped in and got on board is so amazing. Its great to go from fan to friends.

Thanks to Emma Plath for the SICK Kaprosuchus artwork for one of the t-shirts and being one of the ultimate homies.

Thanks to Ciaran for taking my very shitty digital drawing and turning it into the absolutely gorgeous artwork that so many people are going to see anytime they want to rip some Primitive War metal.

Big thanks to everyone who grabbed a preorder, it is not lost on me how much faith you put into this project towards a relative nobody.

Another thanks is due to everyone who's waiting in the wings to see if this is worth your time or money. I know both are precious in the times we live in, and I appreciate that I had your attention at all.

Finally, as always, thanks to my amazing wife Leah and Bailey for supporting my asinine and insane endeavors. I would not be making any of the music I'm making now without the full support of my wife who is not a heavy metal fan at all, but is a full on artist in her own right and knows whats required to make this kind of shit happen. She's my biggest supporter.
