When it’s chosen A way is won Remember your fight When it’s done Your wings await on Either path now My spirit sown I walk ‘lone down the road Made of gold My soul between For the white brings the light, so it shone This is earth We rebirth The scythe does not sting This is earth We rebirth The scythe does not sting This is earth We rebirth The scythe does not sting This is earth We rebirth The scythe does not sting

The world lost Jules Lujan on March 30th, 2026. Though the spirit of music, food, and more will forever be missing one of its brightest creative faces, we choose to believe his star will shine on eternally in the hearts of his friends and family—namely his wife and children, who need your help right now. The wife of Jules, Kelly Lujan, and children Kekoa and Maile Lujan (aged 4 and 2 as of writing this) have had their lives utterly turned upside down by the loss of their husband and father. The vacuum of grief left in the wake of his passing will unfortunately also be expensive, as there is the service to pay for as well as everything that comes with being a single mother facing the world without her other half by her side.

Jules was a music lover and musician, and in his memory and my own way of grieving, I have written a song for him, though I credit Jules for it. It’s the first part of a series—one you’ll be hearing more of in the future. The track is simply titled “Song For Jules, Part One” and is a song about the in-between his soul was waiting in while the song was being written. It’s about the battle he fought and won, no matter what the outcome was. He remains living in all of us. He was never defeated, but called to press on into the unknown… a call that was answered fearlessly.

You can listen to Song For Jules, Part One on AmpWall and Bandcamp, and if you can afford to do so, I implore you purchase the track for any amount, even $1. All earnings will be directly sent to Kelly Lujan and her children in an effort to improve their quality of life in any way possible.
