The second Woe album, Quietly, Undramatically, pushed Woe further from its starting point and into new territory: more dynamic, practically experimental at times, as the now-full-band blended its foundation of black metal with experimental rock elements. The album was divisive at the time. It confused purists but those with keen ears could hear that it was not a radical departure, only an evolution. Today, it is arguably Woe's most influential album even if it was not the sound that they were destined to land on.
