The Rot Consumes
A Colossal Hand
I wished I was complacent I worshiped plastic grins And flag pins I did my part I trusted the path A happy drone In a suburban home I chased the light receding And I saw The fallen world It broke my heart And stole my humanity

Strangling The Last American Buffalo

Ecocide: Our predetermined future! Rising tides— Now we’re redrawing the map! It’s all in the name of progress! We must consume all! "There’s no beauty in this world I couldn’t stand to see stamped out No flesh untasted No branch unbroken No river untarnished No sky unclouded God made this land To serve me And I will bend it and break it And what I want I will take it I will blot out What disgusts me" Never to watch the sunrise Never to feel the breeze Never to shake the earth Never to hold its sons An ancient beast Stolen from our children Congratulations! We hope you're proud of your achievement!

Consider God's Lowliest Creature
A Colossal Hand
Which way modern man? Buried by sea or by sand? It’s all the same No one will remember your name Stave off the thought Embrace the rot Stave off the thought Embrace the rot You’re chasing nothing Catching air in a jar Just to fake your way Through another day It’s a cul de sac It’s a dead end track What fresh indignity Will you endure? Which new low Will deliver you? The flaying you desire: A self-immolation empire A throat in need of a wire A martyr in search of a fire

Crushing the Last Living Pollinator
A Colossal Hand
I killed the hive With a can of cheap Poison And everyone who fled I crushed with my heels I wonder when Something will see us The same way Or If they’re already here Do we believe Enough venomous stings Bring down the tallest beast?

Conan's Crucifixion Upon the Tree of Woe, Death, and Subsequent Resurrection
A Colossal Hand
I dreamed I stood defiant Against the serpents And their legions I tore flesh from limb Cursed the gods Not even death could pacify me I was the absolute I lived by my hand And knelt to no man But when I woke I laid compliant As terror swept away All I could love in this world And in its place A void of expression A tunnel of decay I forsake everything For a moments bliss Free of my own emptiness And only this monument remains Only this monument remains

The Last Good Days is an expression of anxiety, frustration, and futility in the face of ecological destruction. The EP title refers to the thought that eventually, each and every living thing experiences its last "good" moments before the agony of death. There is no guarantee that we will realize we are experiencing those fleeting last smiles until after they've already faded, and we take for granted every pleasant experience. The grand question is: when the bad times come, will you be satisfied with how you spent the good ones?
