As a fan of electronic music since childhood in the early 90's, Afturmath traded his guitar for a synthesizer in 2000 and never looked back. After the first self-released single "Night Ride" in 2003, distributed via email lists and online forums, he spent the following 15 years improving and refining his music. He started playing live shows with synthesizers in 2016 and moved to NYC in 2018 to be closer to a more active electronic music scene and fellow synthesizer freaks.

Afturmath started Black Glass Records in 2018 after moving to NYC. Staying true to his original sound of spacey atmospheric ambience with dubby, techno-influenced rhythms, he released his debut album "Analog Assay" in 2019. Since then, he has continued to evolve his productions towards hypnotic, experimental techno with a leftfield dub and electro twist.

As of 2023, Afturmath is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
