from The Astral Voyage to Cosmic Anachronism
The Astral Voyage to Cosmic Anachronism is the follow up to my first album, The End of Arcadi the Ivy King. This album continues our reluctant wizard's journey to return to his family. He has gained passage on a Spelljamming ship to sail the Astral Sea in search of his Prime Material Plane.
This album is set in the Spelljammer Dungeons and Dragons Campaign Setting. The album traveling the Phlogiston and the Astral Sea encountering various dangers, gets swept into the mists of Ravenloft, and settles in Dragonlance on the land of Krynn.
The album is a captivating exploration of soundscapes and rhythms inspired by 90's Trip Hip, 60's space-themed exotica, k-pop, and 90's metal. Drawing influence from a diverse array of music such as Deftones, DJ Shadow, Erang, Cherry Cordial, Philip Glass, Dimmu Borgir, New Jeans, SeoTaiJi, IU, Len Baxter, Martin Denny, and Portishead. Each track offers a unique blend of genres and atmospheres. Music that is cosmically anachronistic. Notably, the final track features a collaboration with Hexpartner, adding an extra layer of depth and emotion to the album's narrative.
