Existence is the Problem
AOECIST
The truth came down in the rain I never wanted to cause this pain I only wanted to feel again But in the end, I'm left with no choice Return to the void Return to the void Return to the mouth of this cave The truth came down in the rain

Demoralization of a Rationalist
AOECIST
One by one, we prove nothing Every action - evaporating Back into negative space The only thing that separates life from death The will of the universe Is to grind us to pulp Chew us up and spit us out Like nothing even went in More like "it" than "us" It isn't even sentient The simulation of experience Is as hollow as a shattered window Breaking down into particles of nothingness Rationale reeks of dispositional ignorance Zoom out your view Open your mind to deletion Is the trauma in the room with us? Just tell it to hide under the bed again The connection is tenuous Ominous to some Obvious to few Nothing new One by one, we prove nothing at all Chasing back and forth, we never find a damn thing That will satisfy the innate curiosity

Cathedral of Cosmic Sadism
AOECIST
No restitution for a soulless, stupid pig The mirror tells a tale that I refuse to comprehend Holy emasculation Drain the pig of his lifeblood Reduce him to nothing but a means to an end Row through the mire endlessly Push hard, and pull as the dollar bills trickle forth Relentlessly devoid of all meaning Absurd to the Nth degree That tomorrow is a promise Is the worst truth conceivable That there is no escape From this imprisonment Burning in hell Burning Waking up to remember Worthlessness, it's rewarded With forced labor And barely a scrap extra Curses rain down upon he who yet breathes Carbonate remains Flushed down the drain All that was attempted Was failed His miserable existence Is the sum of its parts Now and forever Endless punishment To try to improve anything Is laughable For the god of cosmic sadism So worship at his altar And embrace the torture This endless cycle bestows life in suffering

Thrown into the Quarry
AOECIST
Hold out your hand Thoughts and prayers Will catch you Inches From death Sky, blood red Skull leaking Thrown down into Blackest hole in the universe To slowly die

Waxing Horizon Engulfing (feat. Sleep Paralysis)
AOECIST
A creeping suspicion Lurking in the corner of my mind That everything beautiful, terrible, worthwhile Is slipping towards the horizon The center of the galaxy beckons The monster under the bed reaches out It has no problem taking all Everything that ever mattered Fourteen billion years The hunger of that chasmic void Is utterly insatiable Time itself broke loose Darkest night came to Instantaneous Inversion of truth Every small human idea of meaning Repurposed to sustain the singularity Treated like a freak for having thoughts no one thinks I saw a memory in my dead reflection, you couldn't breathe The atmosphere had grown too thin, the leaves falling from the trees And why couldn't I form a thought, and why couldn't I see a thing? Everyone was pulled apart into gory strings The ground became the sky and then bygone history When time itself collapses and all light is extinct And just like that, it's over for all Earthly beings Waxing horizon engulfing The sky became night, and the world was fed into infinity Seeing horrors every day Feeling something awful coming Impending doom The worry keeps me guessing A crying-out from deep within Is there a pulse left? No Time itself breaks loose Darkest night came to Instantaneous Inversion of truth Every small human idea of meaning Repurposed to feed the singularity Spiraling energy Timeless and wholly devoid of meaning The essence of everything stripped back into first principles

Inspiration, found in a memory. A memory, found in the eyes of my dead reflection.
Presenting 'Singularity,' the newest release from AOECIST.

Zooming in is easy for me, so I tried to zoom out a bit, and explore the relationship (or lack thereof) between localized human suffering and the rest of the known universe. But not before a more personal intro track.

By the way. This is art. Nihilism is not my actual worldview. I do not condone disregard for the value of human life. This is an outlet for a burden I carry through life. Depression sucks.
