Draculum’s debut album Poems of the Spellcraft will be released October 24th on CD and digital formats, with vinyl arriving in late 2025.
Written and recorded in just five days during the summer of 2023, Poems of the Spellcraft was born amidst the dunes of Noord-Holland, accompanied by the silent witness of magpies and pheasants. The immediacy of this process evokes the raw, unpolished spirit of the 1990s, when black metal thrived on instinct and atmosphere.
Emerging from the German underground, Draculum unite seasoned musicians whose craft conjures a sound both rooted in tradition and driven by a relentless vision. Their approach channels the essence of black metal’s past while forging new, spell-laden pathways forward.
For listeners devoted to the spectral grandeur of old Gehenna, the windswept ferocity of early Enslaved, and the arcane storytelling of Bal-Sagoth, Draculum stands as a bearer of black metal’s timeless flame.
