He writes her a letter to say he'll break her two And she'll beg him to she'll beg him to He writes out the list of the shit he's gonna make her do Make her crawl for you make her crawl Rape her daughter first Rape her mother first And she'll crawl through the filth to pray to you Break her fingers first Break her rib cage and she'll slide through the slime to get to you He writes her a letter of all the things that he could do She'll beg him to break her in two He writes out a list the shit he's gonna make her do Make her squirm for you make her squirm Break her fingers first Break her rib cage first And she'll dance through the dust to pray to you Rape her daughter first Rape her mother first And she'll squirm through the shit to get to you In the murky water as he holds her down Let the weight of the water soothe you as you drown Break her fingers first Break her rib cage first And she'll dance through the shit to worship you Break her mother first Break her daughter first And she'll squirm through the shit to get to you

The Comfort of Loss and Dust 10 tracks of unprecedented scope and power, recorded at Gun Factory Studios, London, by Cönstantin Grönert.

Mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Sunn O))) and Electric Wizard).

CiB's third album is a black mass of doomy punk rock, fired by the Gothic imaginings of vocalist/lyricist Maya. With its dark soundscapes spun in haunting imagery and a feeling of the uncanny, The Comfort of Loss and Dust plays like the aural accompaniment to a nightmare.

Following on from their critically acclaimed debut album Give Me Walls (2010, Cargo) and the 2012 follow up And Yet (Candlelight), this release will be the bands’ second on pioneering independent label Candlelight Records.

Since forming in 2010, London-based Cold in Berlin has played throughout Europe alongside some of the most revered alternative acts, graced major festival stages and won praise from influential publications including Q, Mojo, Metal Hammer, Rock Sound and Clash.
