A long drone designed for contemplation with occasional interruptions.
This was originally created to accompany a group art show called "Analog AI: Dream House Reimagined" which ran in May of 2024 at Funke ArtSpace in Gent, BE.
There are two drone parts: One consisting of three tones with a long duration filter sweep, and another extremely low frequency tone with a slow modulation effect. The curatorial parameters for the show called for an “AI” component, but left the term open to interpretation by the artists. I answered this by including an analog-intuitive (AI) generative process: a noise element created by a self-oscillating no-input system which I initiate but can’t control.
