‘Normal Harder’ does something that taps into an innocence and a psychedelic pop frontier that moves beyond the obvious. And we’re all for that kind of dreampop behaviour, not that Portland’s Dusty Lucite doesn’t offer up a strand of rebellion in those vocals because there are passionate words expelled throughout. It’s simple but this is music that offers solace to daydreamers and those who have decided to take on a more relaxed lifestyle. I’m all in. KH
