‘The Reddest Flag’ is about ignoring the warning signs and red flags that surround us and the innate human desire to shield ourselves from uncomfortable truths.

The words are present, not to any decipherable extent but it does matter because our search for a bongo to get with Portland’s Dusty Lucite’s sunshine laced instruction is overpowering. A smile of a record.

Musically, the song’s pretty light, working with a simple guitar that kind of hangs back like a little cold winter air blowing across the frozen grounds. But, it’s the vocals that catch me; they’re restrained to a degree, but you can feel their boldness, akin to Quinnisa from Big Blood.
