On Avoiding Apocalypses

ON AVOIDING APOCALYPSES A vast systemic machine With major cultural influences Self preserving mechanism Spitting out anything that challenges it A very strong normative force We need the source code of mind. The source of our tool making evolution And choice-making type dynamics Can we make sense of this Multipolar trap we're in It never seems to end Is there hope at all A multi decision tree We can’t accept any of the branches Self-extinguishing escapism Upload to silicon or flee Mars Every path is fucking sci-fi In this dark road of rivalrous games With more and more potent warfare Externalizing every bit of harm Can we make sense of this Multipolar trap we're in It never seems to end Is there hope at all But can we change what winning feels like? Can we become wise enough To hold the fire (to hold the fire) To steer this human ship and thrive Can we make sense of this Multipolar trap we're in It never seems to end Is there hope at all Can we remember that Everything we get from this Dies with us in the end But eternal LIFE—remains. There's hope in that!!!
