Imagined Futures

IMAGINED FUTURES As our job changed from saving the world, to doing palliative care, what would the difference look like? Our hope at this point is in the agency of realizing the time for cherished outcomes has passed It's time to set aside childish things So how do we build the future? We do it with people And Love We do it with people It's not about morality It's about connectivity, viability and anti fragility We are atomized, fractured, rash, hyper individualistic consumer zoo monkeys The future requires responsible, self reliant folks to make it up So reach the other and find the human in them It's time to override selfishness So how do we build the future? We do it with people And Love We do it with people Can we see each other's light? Without getting pushed away by seeing each other's shadow or fallibility Forget rising into consciousness And build relationships So how do we build the future? We do it with people and love We do it with people We're stuck And there's no way out Let's sing out war song Let's sing our love song
