Fathomless is the brainchild of composer Tyler Blake. Influenced by black metal legends like Emperor, Enslaved, Blut Aus Nord, and Negura Bunget while also incorporating some influences from Modest Mussorgsky, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Frank Zappa.

The debut self titled album was written as one continuous composition, meant to evoke the movement/promenade structure of Pictures at an Exhibition. Arranged for 3 guitars, bass, drums, and vocals with other assorted instrumentation/sound design featured in the interludes.
