The third transmission from Fetching Pails new incarnation comprised of songwriter Jill Townsend, guitarist Dillon Smith and drummer Andrew Core. “Ruiner” unfurls from a minimal and withdrawn composition to an absolute avalanche of catharsis. Townsend’s vocals transcend through multiple forms as layers of instrumentation build and release.

The song’s inception came from a misheard lyric, the mondegreen that starts off the song. This simple misunderstanding evolved into an observation on self-sabotage. Originally crafted with synth bass, drum machine, and sound activated party lights, the song has grown through live performances with the newly concreted collaboration style, adding depth to its raw emotional core.
