CACHARPARI or Kacharpari is a traditional song from the Andes musical tradition, in Perù it indicates a farewell ritual also a thanks ritual to Pachamama the Mother Earth.
When I grew up it was common to listen to this song covered by some Andinos groups like the Into Illimani and it also has been covered by jazzmen like Enrico Rava.The music sample inside is taken from a recording of an ancient Sicilian chant from threshing in Caropepe1961 by Diego Carpitella.
