Be With Me Forever

Think back to when we met Would you have ever bet That you and I would be where we are now? It seems just yesterday I was too scared to say, “I like you” Guess I just didn’t know how But we have come so far together And we still so far to go There will be bumps ahead oh trust me But we can make it through together, love, I know If you stay close to me Then I’ll stay close to you And we can travel round the world someday We’ll cross stuff off our list And after that we’ll kiss And you’ll look up at me and then you’ll say: “Be with me forever.” And then I’ll promise that I will Because each day my love grows stronger When I think of you my heart beats faster still So let’s celebrate each moment Sharing the good and the bad too We cannot know what life will bring us But I just cannot wait to share it all with you

This album is a collection of songs written over the course of ten years, taking the listener (that's YOU!) on a meandering musical adventure through space and time.

2025 addendum: When I first started making music, I wanted to be like They Might Be Giants or Jonathan Coulton, writing songs that toed a line between silly and serious. I started playing accordion when I was 16 years old, which fit perfectly into this trajectory. Between 2007 and 2013, I wrote and recorded quite a few songs with lyrics. Many of these were shared with friends (and a few were even performed live on stage), but I found that I was more interested in focusing on instrumental and ambient music as my primary output, so the songs that ultimately became “The Edventure” mostly sat untouched in various folders for years.

In 2018, I decided to compile and release the best of these recordings as an album on Bandcamp. When I started putting my music on Ampwall, I initially chose not to include this album, since it’s not quite representative of the kind of music you’ll find in the rest of my discography. However, after talking with members of the Ampwall community, I changed my mind, since they’re still an important part of my journey as an artist. So here you go, Ampwall—The Edventure! I’m not a great singer, and these were recorded when I lacked proper equipment and mixing/mastering tools, but the songs have a certain charm and lighthearted attitude that will (hopefully) bring a smile to your face.
