Heresiarch

Heresiarch was formed in 2008 and has undergone several iterations and evolutions since.

Initially started as an outlet heavily influenced by seminal greats of death and black/death metal, “Wælwulf” marked a significant point in the band’s journey, where they began to solidify their sound. This EP intertwined black death barbarism with militant doom, a style that would be further emphasized on their debut album, “Death Ordinance”, in 2017.

Since then, Heresiarch has continued to hone their craft, becoming simultaneously more refined and regressive. Released in 2024, “Edifice” showcases a more evolved, darker, and oppressive Heresiarch, documenting the eternal recurrence of human cruelty and savagery, as well as the folly and nobility to resist it.
