This isn't what I wanted I don't know what is good Should I take her out or leave it? With guilt I'll be consumed She showed what she was made of Bend an ache before she breaks I've got nothing to give her And something dark inside her shakes I don't know how to help her As she lay there in the litter Red and flowing with the river She doesn't know I need her

This is a quieter reimagining of "she's too good for me", the opening track from STEP INTO THE OCEAN. I found myself trying to rearrange this song for a solo live performance, but needed to keep the volume down because my daughter was asleep directly above me. I loved how it was sounding in headphones, so I impulsively recorded this during a tumultuous and trying week that ended with my birthday.
