Focused on the aspects of black metal which bring comfort, Lammoth fuses intense, foreboding atmospheres with cozy, lighthearted passages laced with nostalgia to present their own styling of Brandywine blasphemy. Lammoth is a solo artist from Asheville, NC formed in 2021, inspired by the hobbits of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-Earth. Their music is reminiscent of black metal classics such as Lunar Aurora, Limbonic Art, and Summoning, but with a distinct hobbit sensibility. Their debut EP, Tales of Treachery, is a collection of stories being told around a warm hobbit fireplace. It features familiar black metal elements, combined with video-game like synths, and atmospheric breakcore passages.
