Is everything going to be all right?
from Dronescapes vol2: Ancient Dreams
This is a follow-up to Dronescapes vol1: The Larsen Effect. It expands some of the ideas and concepts of drones, horror-scapes, noises and other unnerving background sounds.
The album was recorded and mixed between March and July 2025. Some of the recording sessions were one-take “jams” and others were the result of multiple layers of recording, swearing, and post-processing.
All recording was captured to a Tascam digital recorder.

The words used on Interlude 1 are taken from Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 1 by William Shakespeare, with narration performed using voice samples and the Speechify text-to-sound application, with lots of post processing.
The narration on “Is Everything Going To Be All Right” was constructed from samples taken from Freesound.org and used under Creative Commons 0 (public domain). It was dismantled using a bit-crusher.
All other music, sounds, and other noises were conceived, recorded, and mixed-by Barry Cooper as Legacy Systems, using a variety of desktop synths, Eurorack modules, and a very old MacBook Pro.
