Helga Luzhnikova is a sound artist, musician and a participant in the projects Helga Luzhnikova, Krasnye Zori, and Supr Experience. She is currently based in Tbilisi.
Helga composes music and creates sound for indie-games and videoart. She seeks to organize chaos and notice the unnoticeable, operating at the intersection of magic and mathematics.
Her artistic practice explores relationships between sound and the “magical,” yet natural states of the human psyche; between dreams and wakefulness; the fabric of reality and the canvas of sound; everyday life and its micro-changes; music and action. Helga investigates how music can change people’s states, and how even loud sound can sometimes bring calmness and joy.
She is most interested in noise, order emerging from chaos, field recordings, found sounds, drone, ambient, noise, and other experimental genres.
Helga’s listener is a person sensitive to sound and to the world.
