Twilight Wanderers (100 Days of Dusk)
from Twilight Wanderers (100 Days of Dusk)
"In one hundred days, someone will die..."
This track is a tribute to Yuuyami Doori Tankentai, an adventure horror game developed for the PS1 by Spike. The story is one of humanity and spirituality as the realm of both contend with a world changing rapidly around them. Following a fateful encounter with a human-faced crow, who warns that one of them will die in one hundred days, three teenagers set out to explore their city and break the curse. As they investigate rumors, they meet a plethora of powerful entities and strange people, all of whom are connected to a realm beyond human understanding. Between the curse and their own personal struggles, the three form a bond stronger than life itself. But even the strongest bonds cannot cheat fate forever.
The story reaches its bittersweet, horrific conclusion on Friday, August 14th, 1998. Now, on August 14th, 2026, I pay homage to the astounding work that has inspired and stuck with me since I first discovered its sprawling and deceptively empathetic narrative. Built from sampling the original soundtrack, this nearly eight-minute track takes us on a journey of horror, wonder, and the beauty of a life yet lived.
