Unavailable for many years, following a very limited CD release in 2009, Man Made Origin’s first record was released in 2019! Celebrating 10 years of the band as well as the inaugural record, the album includes an unreleased live show with a set-list spanning Man Made Origin’s first three records.

Strongly rooted in black and death metal, State of Nature showcases a much heavier and aggressive sound in comparison to the band’s more recent output. Released in under a year after the band was formed and recorded over just three days at Dundee’s Seagate Studios, it captures the initial extreme metal vision of Man Made Origin. Nonetheless, the record also displays an identifiable progressive metal edge, culminating in the epic Lament for Tomorrow, all hinting at what was yet to come with 2011’s False Consciousness.

The never-before-released ‘Live in Edinburgh’ captures an energetic Man Made Origin in 2013 during the period when 2016’s The Divine Soulless was being conceived. The setlist spans choice cuts from State of Nature, False Consciousness and The Divine Soulless. In the case of the latter, the show notably offers rare insights into early versions of ‘Antioch’ and ‘Adela’.
