About Mark Westin
Mark Westin is an Emmy-nominated songwriter and composer. His lyrics evoke Randy Newman, John Prine and Harry Nilsson, while his guitar playing shows influences of James Taylor, John Fahey, Rory Gallagher and Tampa Red.
Mark crafts character-driven narratives that are funny, biting, bittersweet, and human. "The stories I tell come from equal parts imagination and real life," says Mark. "Not everything in there is necessarily true, but it's always inspired by actual people or events I've seen."
Mark has recorded four albums and six EPs of original songs. His latest album, Tales, was released in April 2023 to international critical acclaim. Mark has performed across the United States, in Canada and the United Kingdom. He's beloved by bikers and old ladies alike, and there's a small cult devoted to him on the Belgium-France border.
