Vertical Helical Spirits

Cathode ray tubes cast their electrons against the curved screen. The gentle hum of the spectral frequencies drone behind the eerie glow within this dark room. A cardboard box of VHS tapes -- a graveyard of familiar echoes -- lies dormant, awaiting the exhumation. Inviting the evocation. These are the spirits we chose to capture, at their happiest and most bittersweet, trapped in a finite and degrading tomb. We welcome these ghosts into our homes, knowing that the faces and voices of those we loved fade with each turn of the spool.

These songs are dedicated to my family and friends, in whichever phase of life or death they currently dwell.
