Megafauna scoring video game felt inevitable to me. Their music is so mood-evoking and transportive, and "haunts" is no exception. I would argue the music on this EP is slightly more "immediate" than other Megafauna releases, which feels appropriate for a game soundtrack, to keep the game moving. The songs opt for more continual forward momentum, as compared to other Megafauna releases which grant more opportunities to peek into dark, hidden corners and cracks. A real pleasure, and what I hope is just a small first step toward Megafauna scoring more games in the future.
