born from ether, speaking to shadows. an uneasiness that there lies beyond: ghost of a twin, who shall never be. deliver my body from this wretched plane. every waking moment, poisoned by silence. grieving that which I can’t comprehend. the stars are filled with promises; pinpricks in this sinking heart, to fill my blood with fire and lift me from this wasteland. a choir of voices never to soothe starving ears. emptiness, a hollow drone hissing across an infinite plain. dreaming of completion without understanding its meaning. dreaming of the tension washing away for a brief second, without giving its creator a name. dreaming of a voice that is not rattling through skulls. dreaming of a voice that is more than just a vessel of anguish. a voice that soothes the infinite ache with a single word. a voice whose inflections bestow purpose. shriek to the sky, demanding a response. the infinite quiet only beckons further. lift me to the heavens, her nothingness promises an answer: nothing more, the peace of finality.
