Terminal Days is the debut album from Negative Agent, nine tracks of ferocious, politically-charged industrial metal that raises a giant middle finger to fascists, oligarchs, tech-bros, A.I. fetishists, and human rights abusers. This is lefty-fueled cyberpunk aggression, it’s catharsis through heavy guitars, nervy synths, punishing beats, and unapologetic lyrics. I wrote Terminal Days during the dystopia of 2025, and it was my way of expressing the rage, terror, and heartbreak I felt as the world’s dumbest authoritarian tore everything apart. This album’ll probably get me onto some sort of right-wing watch list. Fuck ‘em.
Terminal Days features guest turns from musicians like Steve Wiener (Am I In Trouble?, Negative Bliss, Eveale) on “Mind Wipe,” and Greg Schwan (Witnesses, Over Centuries) on “Pain Control.” The album’s rounded out with a remix of “Fascist Beatdown” by the electro/industrial mastermind Voidscan.
This is an angry album, but it’s also a funny one, and it’s one you can dance to in the pit or on the dance floor. I hope you enjoy it.
