Nirensimt
Who are you? Where are we? Face a blur Who are you? Something wrong Where's my son? You're not him Where am I? Am I loved? I know I was Mirror grey, Who am I? It comes in bits and pieces History a haze I conjure names and numbers But can't recall a face I had someone who loved me It seems so long ago These people here surrounding Am I supposed to know? Who are you? Who am I? Have I loved? Was I loved? Am I loved?

Ecstasy/Agony is the next evolution of Peder Simon's once-solo Nirensimt sound that has been blackening with every release, adding vocals for the first time and employing the talents of former collaborator Eric Perkins on bass to bring Nirensimt's best, most beautiful, and most brutal album to date. With 7 tracks clocking in at an epic 52 minutes, this release traverses the spectrum from slow and majestic to blistering and haunting without feeling overly long and bloated. Lyrics screamed and sung by Peder weave mystical allegories for facing trauma with imagery of a universe that is every bit as beautiful as we make it. A powerful journey from start to finish, Nirensimt's 3rd album Ecstasy/Agony is sure to entice listeners back for many return trips.
