An oft-maligned facet of introspection is the familiar comfort of grief reminiscence. The guilty pleasure of reveling in world-weariness. The unfathomable nostalgia of reliving the violent and extreme gamut of emotion associated with a time of seemingly interminable anguish. The need to feel such convulsing emotion in order to feel alive...

Ofnus wasn’t imagined as a solution for the lack of soundtrack for these feelings, however from the first scrapings of pick against wound string, our direction became apparent. To fuse the dynamic, often bleak and sometimes saw-toothed harshness of black-metal, with the broad and sweeping melodies of modern-classic film score, whilst harnessing any and all other pertinent influences, unabated by genre tropes and with a vision to simply take you on a journey. These vast and evocative soundscapes that veer between sullen and monumental quickly depicted the travel to and the point of nadir. Ofnus and its identity was born.

"Time Held Me Grey And Dying" is an opus to the loss of innocence, a sonic narrative of the uncomfortable realisation of the passage of time and life's most certain inevitability through death. The 50+ minute full length debut by the Welsh five-piece contains 8 vast and evocative soundscapes that veer between sullen and monumental.

Ofnus have a singular goal in mind: to reunite you with your misery.
