3. The Vastness we chase
Once Upon A Winter
Empty again Rotten echoes of meaningfulness Consumed by desires Doomed to grieve the Vastness we chase Is it over? Who knew it'd start to feel too much Say it's over This absent fire, keeps breaking my heart Is it over? Doomed to grieve the Vastness we chase Is it over? Say it's over Doomed to grieve the Vastness we chase

One Last Walk is a story told as a spiral, about the complicated relationship we have with chaos as part of life itself.

It starts just before the descent. Still fighting and still holding on, but already knowing that something is ending. Then the descent begins, and at first it doesn't look like one. It looks like transcendence, like rising. Only slowly does it become clear that this rising is actually erosion, a hungry unraveling that was mistaken for growth.

That hunger turns into grief. Reaching for something vast, something great, and getting stuck just short of it. But maybe you don't need that vastness after all. And so comes defiance, a refusal to disappear. Like dying stars, neutron stars and black holes, under the right conditions you come back stronger than before, and the strength comes from the destruction itself.

And finally, acceptance. Chaos isn't conquered or escaped. You make peace with it and with yourself. You make a home inside it, stripped naked and unafraid.
