Dead Space Enigma
Void Sector Zero
The outer realms of vacant stars A dark decree from aeon’s past Subspace signals are being traced Back to the origins of time Asteroid belts of mass debris containing microscopic life A vicious breed unknown to man An all consuming entity In orbit, spying, circulating Subterranean infiltration Seizure through alien fungal spores Captured from deep within the void The cosmic order to be restored The human form An impure breed Reshaped eternally Now taken over by alien force Reprogramming DNA Free will erased, collective minds Like drones under a dying sun The human race was nothing more But a giant cosmic lapse Now reprogrammed to ant-like state Slaves to the cosmic empire In orbit, spying, circulating Subterranean infiltration Seizure through alien fungal spores Captured from deep within the void

Extreme metal is governed by supernatural forces. So when its stars align, the results are more stunning than a supernova. As if pulled by the sun, VOID SECTOR ZERO brings together current and former members of Necrophagist, Revocation and Decrepit Birth. While inspired by past greats, on their debut album, the band venture into an alien dimension that’s fresh, fun and frightening. 'Dead Space Enigma' rips a hole through the space-time continuum with their modern spin on progressive thrash metal.

The stars of VOID SECTOR ZERO first crossed paths four years ago. Guitarist Christian Muenzner, vocalist and bassist Alex Webber, and drummer Gabe Seeber hit it off while playing together in Obscura during the world tour for 'A Valediction'. Despite the lengthy incubation period, like an experiment secreted at Area 51, their proven chemistry develops into something truly out of this world on 'Dead Space Enigma'. Lead single “Vortex Divinium” whirls at hyper speed through the warped mind of Bob Lazar, propelled by gravity-defying bass runs and a dizzying solo that melds ‘70s prog rock with jazz fusion. VOID SECTOR ZERO gravitate toward late ‘80s tech-thrash and early ‘90s technical death metal, but 'Dead Space Enigma' is teeming with life-forms from across the metal universe. With cosmic sprinkles of hard rock and trad metal, the twisted time signatures of “Extraterrestrial Disassembly” unravel into a DMT trip gone horribly wrong. “Ammutseba” bangs heads in honor of the great Lovecraftian deity, but the all-consuming power of its chorus speaks to this band’s place amongst the gods of extreme metal. “A prophecy / Was once foretold”.

On 'Dead Space Enigma', VOID SECTOR ZERO emerge with a star-studded explosion of progressive thrash metal.
